Classes are on-going, new students are always welcome. If you're not sure about it, come try one class for free! In all of Valley Dance Ensemble's classes the primary goals are to enjoy movement and expression, and to find new and interesting ways to communicate through the art of dance.

REGISTRATION INFO

5 ($35), 10 ($60), or 15 ($80) class punch cards may be purchased; no expiration. Drop-ins welcome $8 per class.

All participants MUST register at the beginning of each session to ensure a spot in the class whether using an old or purchasing a new punch card. All children's dance classes capped at 8 students per class, first-come-first-served. Call 435-752-0026 to check availability.

REGISTRATION OPTIONS:

1) Register online at https://www.ticketturtle.com/index.php?class=cache.

CVCA accepts Visa & Mastercard. Payment by check must be done in person. To pay by phone, call 435-752-0026.

2) CVCA ticket office. Fill out registration form and pay in person at the ticket office*. CVCA Ticket Office is located in the Bullen Center at 43 South Main, Logan.

3) In class for classes that occur after 5:30pm when ticket office is not open. *Ticket office receipt must be presented in class to receive punch card.

REGISTRATION

The Drop in class rate is $8 per class or save a little cash by purchasing a punch cards: no expiration. 5 classes for ($35), 10 classes for ($60), or 15 classes for ($80).

Register at Cache Valley Center for the Arts Ticekt Office, 43 South Main, online, or in class.

CANCELLED CLASSES: Please contact the CVCA Ticket Office at 435-752-0026 or email valleydancers@yahoo.com if you are interested in this class. We apologize for any inconveience.

CHILDREN'S CLASSES

All children's classes will be capped at 8 students per class. Each class includes and builds on skills learned in the previous age-group class.

Creative Movement (Ages 3-4)

Instructor: Lori Caley (Mon) & Bethany Faux (Wed)

Explores coordination, locomotor steps, rhythm and music, body awareness, improvisation, and the joy of movement stimulated by props, stories, art, poetry, and music.

Creative Movement (Ages 5-6)

Instructor: Lori Caley

Introduces the technical skills of dance such as balance, control, dynamics, and simple patterns. Students learn some of the spontaneous skills of  improvisation from both abstract and concrete simulations.

Creative Movement/Modern Dance (Ages 7-9)

Instructor: Bethany Faux

Dancers develop an awareness for the richness and stimulation of other dancers in both small groups and as an entire class.

Creative Movement/Modern Dance (Ages 10-12)

Instructor: Tessa Evans

Emphasizes basic modern dance technique and the creative process.

 

YOUNG ADULT CLASSES (Ages 13-17)

Modern Dance

Instructor: Tessa Evans

Modern Dance Technique. Continues to build on skills learned in 10-12 yr class, with emphasis on modern dance technique. Beginners in the age group also welcome. Class is required for Jr. Performing Company members.

Jr. Performing Company Class (Ages 13-17)

Director/Instructor: Lori Caley

Required class for Jr. Performing Company members. The Jr. Company is open to dancers ages 13-17 who are interested in a more in-depth study of dance through experiences in choreography, composition, and performance.

 

ADULT CLASSES (Ages 17+)

Mixed-Level Modern Dance

Instructor: VDE Company Members

An introduction to modern dance for beginners, emphasizing a variety of styles and techniques. Allows the experienced dancer to refine technical skills and explore the creative process. All experience levels welcome.

African-Based Dance (Ages 17+)

Director/Instructor: Suzann Kienast-Brown

African-based movement taught in an invigorating atmosphere. All levels of dancers welcome, no experience necessary. Great aerobic workout! Children welcome with parent.
