The committee met for a second time, and reviewed various models for integrating much of AVA program functions into CVCA. A review of “Fiscal Sponsorship” was conducted, along with a quick look at the various programs. Meetings with each program director will be scheduled in the next few weeks to review options and support needs.
AVA’s website needed to be renewed, and to avoid that cost, CVCA will be providing information on AVA programs in the interim. |

At the CVCA board meeting of April 15, 2010, the board heard the recommendation of the special committee on the merger of the AVA programs into its operations. It was agreed to accept the recommendations of the special committee to move forward with the merger. Each program will now meet with CVCA staff and review the new structures, including rental rates, and services that can be provided to the program by CVCA, and new requirements. The goal is to have the program-by-program changes completed by June 30, 2010 by which time AVA will cease operations.
