Aszure Barton formed this company in 2002, together with her ensemble they create a movement vocabulary that is joyful, exuberant, playful, quirky and dare we say it, sensual. ASZURE BARTON & ARTISTS is dedicated to the growth of artists and the production of contemporary dance performance. This fall they will perform BUSK. This piece retains Barton’s signature style of precise whole-body expression inflected with an intense and intimate awareness of the thin line between humor and sadness. The second half of the evening will include Les Chambres des Jacques. Her work explores the tragic and comic drives within the human body and psyche. |
