The American West Heritage Center (AWHC) is an outdoor living history museum located in northern Utah’s Cache Valley at the foot of the Wellsville Mountains.

The AWHC utilizes its picturesque setting to tell the story of the history of the American West for the time period of 1820 to 1920. This unique story is told at the AWHC through living history and live reenactment venues such as Native American/Mountain man encampments, Pioneer settlements, a 1917 farm, museum exhibits, live demonstrations, and workshops. School group field trips, summer camps, seasonal festivals and events, student internships, handcart treks (in conjunction with Utah Department of Natural Resources) are other activities used educate, entertain and enlighten a wide variety of visitors.
