THE HATCH ACADEMY

Rosemary and Richard started performing together in Connecticut in 1983. Although Richard Hatch holds two graduate degrees in Physics from Yale University, he finds it easier apparently to violate the laws of nature than to discover them. Richard teaches sleight-of-hand magic and mentalism while Rosemary teaches private violin lessons. Together they perform regular Matinee Enchantees: An Afternoon of Magic & Music.

UNICORN THEATER

CREATIVE DRAMA CLASSES

Wouldn’t it be great if there were a place for kids to go crazy with their imaginations, making up stories, playing fun games and learning through theatrical exploration? Well there is such a place! The Creative Drama classes at Unicorn Children’s Theatre encourage children to act their age. The eight-week course explores drama from a variety of disciplines. Students will develop an understanding of emotional expression while exploring the dramatic process. Come play in a no-performance pressure environment where creativity and imagination blossom.

CHILDREN'S THEATRE PERFORMANCES

VALLEY DANCE ENSEMBLE

Valley Dance Ensemble is the local modern dance company specializing in creative movement. Since 1983, VDE has been Cache Valley’s sole modern dance organization, and serves a dual purpose in the community through instruction and performance.

VDE provides weekly modern, African, and creative dance classes year-round for all ages and all levels. VDE offers creative movement/modern dance classes for children ages 3-16yrs. These classes focus on movement discovery, body awareness, the creative process, and the technical skills of dance as appropriate for each age group based on the developing mind and body.VDE also offers adult modern and African dance classes for adult dancers at every level (beginning to advanced). In all of VDE’s classes, their primary goals are to enjoy movement and expression, and to discover new and interesting ways to communicate through the art of dance.

If you are interested in choreography and performance opportunities with the adult performing company, please contact Suzann Kienast-Brown, Artistic Director, at valleydancers@yahoo.com.

Watch for details about VDE's annual spring production in the Ellen Eccles Theatre.
